Meet Amy Smith
About me…
​
I spent the first eight years of my career working in the TV and film industry. First as a runner and then on to work as a production assistant and marketing executive, both of which involved lots of client liaison and travel. As I reached the end of my 20’s I decided on a change of direction. So I followed my passion and pursued a career in health and wellness.
A chance meeting with an ambitious and entrepreneurial personal trainer who had recently moved from LA to London, led me nicely into the desired new phase of my career. I helped them to set up a small studio in Kensington that soon grew into seven studios across London.
In 2015, I set myself up as a business consultant, assisting in the studio launch of two other high-end fitness brands. I then became Head of Franchise for a yoga franchise business before the birth of my first child.
After gaining 15 years’ experience in the luxury health and wellness sector, I went on to open a Nursery School in 2018 whilst on maternity leave, having spotted a gap in the market. I managed all aspects of the business, from creating the business plan, brand, marketing and hiring a successful team of Practitioners. As well as managing the invoicing, payroll and other financial aspects of the business.
Following the birth of my second child I moved from London to Cheltenham. Having been a part of multiple start-up businesses and also having had my own business, I have developed a strong insight into the moving parts required to run a successful business and how to operate as an online business manager for other start-ups and SMEs.
I now wish to utilise my experience and skill set to help other business owners thrive and grow their companies and establish a better work/life balance.
My strengths
I love taking on various roles and managing multiple projects.
I am a people person and I have excellent communication skills.
I am adept at project managing, love problem solving and helping to make things happen!
